Mobile Therapist

Art therapy is very versatile being able to be used in almost any location. Our art therapists can travel to deliver sessions with a mobile art therapy kit. Sessions need to be carried out in confidential spaces to protect the client and all our therapists hold DBS certificates.

Mobile Work

The mobile kit includes paper, collage materials, pencils, paint, watercolours, pastels, clay work and many other materials and activities. The kit is changed to accommodate the specific needs of individuals and we are happy to work in most situations within reason.

Check in

Each session starts with a check-in to give clients the opportunity to express how they are feeling at that moment. This grounding technique is useful to realise that being present is necessary when expressing past traumas and emotions. This gives the brain messages to say that this is now, and that was then.

Outside art therapy

Using natural materials and working outside can be really helpful. Connecting with the natural environment brings us closer to nature to see beauty and experience creation. We have access to a city centre garden which has been expertly designed into a series of external rooms which can be used for outside sessions.

Schools work

Working in schools makes art therapy more accessible for children and young people. It also allows the therapist to work alongside other professionals who are supporting children with additional needs or who need extra support for whatever reason. Our art therapists will work with your child’s school or college visiting them to discuss working together.
